Southwestern University calls it their Best-Known Secret...most students call it "Chunch," short for CHURCH LUNCH. Cheryl and Bryan Scott, leaders of the College Ministry at Crestview Baptist Church, wanted to make the students at Southwestern feel loved and welcome to their home away from home. What better way than to feed them a good home cooked meal once a week, greet them with a smile and accept them where they are.
The ministry has grown from 7 students in 2014 to over 700 each week today. It's become a big event on campus with many students rearranging their class schedules, so they never miss Church Lunch.
